Why Fruta Vida?

So why did I choose Fruta Vida?

As a former research engineer, I have always thrown myself into 'research overdrive' anytime I am looking for something new, whether it's a car, a vacation destination, a pair of shoes (think Zappos!) or a career.

I started hitting the "work-at-home-mom" forums hard evaluating all my options.

These types of forums, by the way, are a great way to find the most popular home-based businesses. Most of the forums will have entire boards devoted to specific businesses by name: Arbonne, AmeriPlan, Tupperware, Pampered Chef, etc, making it very easy to just scroll the headings until you find a company or business that jumps out at you.

That is exactly how I started - by scrolling the headings. I knew right away the types of items I didn't want to sell: scrapbook kits, skin care, pre-paid legal, and definately nutritional juices (huh?).

I settled on candles, and spent the next week or so trying to decide between all the popular MLM candle companies (Mia Bella, White Lily, Sweetberry, etc.) Never did decide on one.

All of a sudden something occurred to me while I was 'scrolling the headings'. For some reason, this 'Fruta Vida' board had over 800 posts while most of the other boards had less than 100 total. (Things that make you go hmmm....) Of course, that told me right away that for some reason, there was a high level of interest in this particular 'nutritional juice drink'.

I put my 'researcher' hat back on and spent the next several days trying to figure out what the buzz was all about.
